We are following the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines in terms of travel regulation and monitoring when alert levels are upgraded. You can find all Department of State Safety and Security Alerts at: https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/notices
- For participants who had hoped to travel to CIMM 2020 from a country now in WARNING LEVEL 3, we are processing refunds.
- For all other countries (including those in ALERT LEVELS 1 & 2) for which the CDC does not recommend canceling or postponing travel, it is up to participants to decide if they would like to attend or not, but we will not be refunding event registration costs.
If you are traveling from a country with sustained community transmission of COVID-19 (CDC ALERT LEVEL 2), you should not travel if you have any symptoms of upper respiratory illness or if you have come into contact with someone with COVID-19. If you travel from an ALERT LEVEL 2 country and start feeling sick while here in San Diego, please stay isolated in your hotel room, call UC San Diego Medical Center to explain your symptoms, recent travel and any other risk factors for COVID-19, and follow their instructions:
